Please note that your manuscript will be scanned into our computer before being edited as text. Therefore it is essential that the photocopy be of very high quality and that no strange fonts are used.


How long will it be before I get my proofread material back?

When A Proofreading Solution receives your email file, we will respond immediately by email giving details of approximately how long you can expect
to wait. This will depend on:
1. length of your manuscript
2. quality of your written English abilities, and
3. the number of other clients seeking our services at the same time.

For manuscripts received by email, expect to wait 1-2 weeks. For photcopied material sent through regular or commercial mail, 2-4 weeks.

How much will proofreading cost?

The cost can be estimated easily in advance: - Conduct a character count of your English written manuscript. Multiply the number of characters by 0.01875 to see the approximate cost in US$. This is equivalent to approximately US$30.00 per double-spaced page using font size 12 in Microsoft Word. For example: A file containing 15,386 double-spaced characters occupies approximately 9.5 pages. A Proofreading Solution would charge 15,386 X 0.01875 = US$ 288.49

Your estimate of cost will probably be a little too high. It has been our experience that when we proofread our clients' manuscripts, our concise use of language typically causes the character count to drop by 5-10%.

How and when do I pay?

When we return your proofread manuscript, it will be accompanied by a bill for our services. We ask that you pay as soon as possible using whichever of the following methods is most convenient for you.
